Benefits of Yoga:
Yoga postures serve not only to tone, stretch, and strengthen the body, they also invigorate our vital organs. Postures in yoga work to increase mobility and range of motion of our joints and muscles helping us to feel and look younger. The benefits of yoga are numerous and include improved fitness and balance, greater vitality and energy, stress management, inner balance and calmness, greater flexibility and spiritual awareness, weight management and proper breathing.

Our classes consist of various sequences of yoga postures accompanied by an awareness of breath and body alignment. Classes may also include breathing exercises, meditation, chanting and relaxation techniques. We are now proud to include in our offering both Yoga Therapy and Facilitated Yoga & Stretch Therapy at the studio.

Please plan to arrive at the studio 10 minutes prior to the time your class is scheduled to start. This will allow you time to sign in, arrange your mat and get set up and warmed up before class starts. Our doors will be locked 5 minutes past the start of class to avoid disruption to our yoga classes.

As with any exercise, it is recommended that you do not to eat for a few hours before attending class in order to allow your meal to digest properly. You want to dress in comfortable, breathable clothing that allows you complete range of motion movement. Mats are available in the studio for those students that have not yet purchased their own.
